Santa Breakfast, 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM What a great way to ring in the holidays — come have breakfast with Santa, including pancakes, bacon or sausage, fruit, juice, hot chocolate, coffee and tea. Everyone is welcome at this fun and festive activity — the room will be decorated as a winter wonderland and you’re welcome to take family photos with Santa! The Chautauqua Lodge, 304 14th Street NW, Long Beach. Cost is $15.00 for adults, $9.00 for children from 5-12 years, and free for kids under 5. Be sure to preregister online to reserve your seat!
Polar Express Movie, 10:30 AM and 1:00 PM Enjoy this well-loved Christmas classic film, nominated for three Oscars. On Christmas Eve, a young boy embarks on a magical adventure to the North Pole on the Polar Express, while learning about friendship, bravery, and the spirit of Christmas. Turn in your coloring sheet to the elves as you arrive for your goody bag! One lucky winner will win the first gift of Christmas! Please bring non-perishable food items or warm kid’s clothing items, (mittens, jacket, warm socks, for example) to help make a happy Christmas for those in need. Saturday November 30
Santa Fun Run, 9:00 AM The half-mile fun run will begin at the iconic arch at the Bolstad Beach Approach, head west on the paved access towards the beach, then return to the arch where hot chocolate and cookies will be waiting for all participants. Come dressed as Santa, an elf, reindeer, or…. Be sure to join us for our First Santa Fun Run!
Cost to participate — $10.00 per adult, $5.00 for kids age 6-12, free for kids 5 and under. If you preregister online no later than November 17, each paid registration (adults and kids) will receive a free event t-shirt. Registration online after November 17 or the day of the walk will not include a free t-shirt, so get your registrations in early! You can also register online after November 17, or just before the run at the check-in area but you won’t receive a collectible t-shirt.
The route is family friendly, suitable for strollers and wheelchairs, and well-mannered leashed dogs are welcome too!
In addition to the Fun Run, there’s lots of free family fun happening all day Saturday at the Chautauqua Lodge!
Wreath Viewing and Silent Auction, 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM Local merchants decorate festive holiday wreaths and donate these wreaths to help raise funds for next year’s Holidays at the Beach. You can view these wreaths and bid on your favorite Saturday at the Chautauqua Lodge — if you’re the lucky winner, you’ll be able to take home your wreath to display at your home or business. Your generous bids for these beautiful wreaths will help ensure this annual event will continue. Wreaths may be picked up at the conclusion of the silent auction Saturday, or on Sunday morning, December 1.
Dragon Theater, 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM Portland-based Dragon Theater will be giving an entertaining performance of The Snow Queen and Princess Anabelle at the Chautauqua Lodge.
Santa’s Arts and Crafts Workshop, 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM Kids of all ages will enjoy this fun and crafty activity, offering a variety of projects for children to make and take home with them. Holiday ornament projects and more will be available to choose from. Chautauqua Lodge.
Dragon Theater, 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM A second performance by Portland-based Dragon Theater who will be giving an entertaining performance of The Snow Queen and Princess Anabelle at the Chautauqua Lodge.

Santa’s Arrival, 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM Santa and Mrs. Claus arrive at 3:00 PM at the Chautauqua Lodge to greet kids and their parents, too! Be sure to bring your camera or smart phone to take pictures with Old Saint Nick himself, direct from the North Pole!
Wreath Auction Winners Announced and Wreath Pickup, 5:00 PM Lucky high bidders will be able to claim their holiday wreaths from the Holiday Wreath Silent Auction.
City Tree Lighting, 5:30 pm The day’s festivities wrap up with a breathtaking holiday tree lighting at Veteran’s Field, 3rd Street SE and Oregon Avenue S, Long Beach.

Christmas Mermaid Photo Booth 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM Here’s your chance for you and your family to take your picture with the Christmas Mermaid.
